By many speeches you have to read between the lines to find out what really is told to the listeners, take for example the speech by NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Bucharest, Romania.
He started with: Mr. Presidents, Excellencies, Ministers, Distinguished Members of Parliament, Ladies and Gentlemen, It is always a great pleasure to speak to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Like most of you, I am a politician. I had the privilege of being a parliamentarian for more than thirty years. I recognize some familiar faces in the audience.
IN Our View: It sounded as: its good that all my friends are here you know what I am going to say and how to translate it as most of you are just like me, politicians.
"Colleagues I have known for many years. And many new faces. All together, we have more than 50 delegations from Allied and partner countries across the world".
What he actual did say in OV was translated in more common language:
We are only less then the 25% of the countries of the world were there representing less then 20% of the world population. Mainly countries from European decent plus the well controlled Japanese and the South Koreans. However we pretend to control all countries.
He said; "We Parliamentarians often face difficult choices. One of the hardest is whether to send our young men and women in uniform to dangerous and often far-away places. In fact, my first security decision as Prime Minister was to deploy Danish soldiers to Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks. It was a difficult decision. But it was the right one".
OV is that he did proof it was for him the right one as he is now rewarded the post as Secretary General, he mend it as an excuse as he knows very well that by following the US orders he actual condemned young people to death and condemned 100.000's of others to be killed by the young man and woman actions, so that Corporate US and their NATO allies could pocket those countries wealth.
He followed with: "Our host country made a similar choice. Even before becoming an Ally, Romania contributed troops to our ISAF operation in Afghanistan a coalition whose members now include one quarter of the worlds countries. Today, Romania continues to deploy nearly 2,000 ISAF soldiers, many of whom act as trainers and mentors while embedded with the Afghan National Army. In this and many other ways, Romania has been an exemplary Ally".
OV is that what he really said was that if they had not done so then the promised handouts to Romania would not have taken place and Romania would not yet have been a member of the EU let alone an Ally of the US. It shows that blackmail and backhanders do work.
He followed on with; "Such choices are never easy. Earlier this year, NATO decided to implement the mandate of the United Nations Security Council to protect civilians in Libya. We had a lively debate among the Allies. But we took the decision in just 6 days and it was the right decision.
You may have seen some of the comments from Libyans on NATOs Facebook page expressing appreciation for our operation in that country. Among others, Farid Ahmed wrote, We Libyans threw Qadhafi into the dustbin of history. Tripoli is celebrating. Thank you NATO.
OV, What he really must be saying was that the US identified Libya as an enormous wealth right under their nose, so they took the decision to take over Libya just as is done with Iraq, Kosovo, Afghanistan. There are always in every country people who are willing to betray their country as in Libyans case dump Gaddafi. However Tripoli is not celebrating, it lives in fear of murder torture and rape even at this moment.
Triumphed he followed: "NATO and our partners helped ensure the end of Gaddafis rule. The Libya operation showed that when the cause is just when the legal base is strong and when the regional support is clear, NATO is still the indispensable alliance".
OV, What he did mean was that the NATO broke his mandate killed tens of thousands and is still doing that, without a legal bases and the cause of stripping Libya of his wealth, with the support of the Saudi and Qatar dictators in that region of which Qatar is stripping the wealth already in high tempo.
He did not stop there but went on: "We conducted Operation Unified Protector successfully against the backdrop of the global financial crisis. That crisis is unlikely to go away by the time we meet at the Chicago summit in May next year. Our economies and our security are intimately linked. Huge deficits and growing debt make countries vulnerable. For that reason, sound fiscal policies are also sound security policies. Both require that we get the most out of what we spend on defence and security".
OV is that his indication was that the US as the master of the NATO was hoping that the wealth of the countries they have taken over would be enough to take over more countries and strip their wealth, other wise just as now is seen in the US and the UK the population is stripped to the bone to pay for those military actions.
He pointed out the way forwards by saying: "So today I would like to give you my ideas about how we can maintain an Alliance that provides the best security for a cost we can afford despite these hard economic times. To do that, we need to focus on three issues. Capabilities, Connectivity, and Commitment. First, Capabilities. For more than a generation, we have recognized the need to improve burden sharing between members. But during that same period, we have seen that, while Europe still has powerful militaries, the gap between the United States and the Allies has grown ever larger. In Libya, European Allies and Canada, together with our partners, provided most of the assets. But the success of our operation depended on capabilities that only the United States could offer. Drones, surveillance and intelligence assets. All Allies need these critical capabilities. But most do not have the means to gain them".
OV is that what he pointed out is that in the view of the world minus to less then 25% of the NATO supporting countries, the real world thinks that the NATO stands for North American Terror Organisation, let by the US, and financed by the other members, and that the US wants to make sure that the others never are getting the military possibilities the US has.
"He showed the way forwards by pointing out that:"In my view, the way forward lies not in spending more, but in spending better. The idea is simple: Prioritise the capabilities we need the most. Specialise in what we do best. And seek multinational solutions to common problems. This is shared defence. It is efficient defence. I call it Smart Defence. And it is the key to improving our capabilities and distributing the defence burden more fairly. In a sense, prioritisation, specialization, and multinational cooperation have always been at the heart of the Alliances mission. Let me give you some examples. Allied air forces now police the air space of our Baltic members. So instead of spending large amounts of money on expensive aircraft, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have been able to focus on more deployable troops for Afghanistan. In this case, Allies prioritised, they specialised, and they did so through a process of careful and coordinated consultation. They chose Smart Defence".
OV, Smart defence as he pointed out is to make clear to small states that they should obey the US or risk the change that political they would fall back into the Russian state, and as the US was already patrolling for many decennias the airspace of Russia they would go on doing so for the Baltic states,.... if the Baltic states would sent troops to Afghanistan!
He went on: "Another good example is strategic airlift. Ten Allies, including Romania and two partners have together bought three C17 transport planes. Alone, they could not have afforded even one. And in 2004, in Denmark, we decided to phase out our independent submarine fleet. This was not an easy decision. But it was the right one. And we were able to focus our investment in other capabilities that we needed, and that the Alliance needed. Let me be clear. Smart Defence can only work if it is done together. It is not an excuse for decreasing defence budgets. Because thats not burden sharing. Thats burden shedding. At the end of the day, we have to decide if we want to work together to lower costs. If we do, then Smart Defence will give us the best capabilities at the best value for the best price. And thats our choice: Smart Defence, or less defence. And if you think security is expensive, remember its cheaper than insecurity".
OV is that the reality is that the US is stripping away the possibility that one country, any country in the NATO except the US could be a threat to the US, but that they would be easy targets for the US if they wanted to take action against any of them. Let us remember that only the outbreak of the last WW stopped Great Britain from being attacked by the US. The US can indeed call this smart defence, or indeed no defence for the other NATO countries.
The secretary general as the reprensentive of the US to chair the NATO followed with: "The second priority of NATO is to be better connected. Connected to its partners. Connected to the new actors on the scene of safety. And connected to the international community. These efforts are already in hand. Since years, NATO builds relations in the field of safety with various countries of the Mediterranean, the Close relation Orient and the area of the Gulf. So when the Safety advice of UNO gave mandate to protect the civilians in Libya, NATO should not have started from scratch to build regional relations. On the contrary, the operation Unified Protector profited, as of the whole beginning, from the political and operational support of our partners of the area. Alliance must also develop its relations with other interested countries, where which they are located on the chart of the world. With Afghanistan, where we must reinforce our long-term partnership. With our world partners who are Australia, Japan, the New Zealand and South Korea. With key emergent countries. And we will continue to promote Atlantic integration euro Western countries of Balkans and more with the East. And, of course, Alliance should have an authentic and strategic partnership with Russia. Russia and NATO work already together on many questions, of which Afghanistan, the fight against terrorism and the fight against piracy. And I delighted with the prospect for a future where we will cooperate more still to face common challenges such as the proliferation of the missiles".
OV is that he correctly pointed out that the close relations are the countries under direct US control such as Bahrain, where they ignore the governments violence against their citizens. Yemen, same situation, Saudi again the same situation, the people suppressed from human rights, but having the wealth the US needs and therefore all is well, take Qatar, actual not a real country just a strip of sand with less then a million people most of them non-Qatari, other countries need the US for their protection, look at Kosovo protected against UN wishes while Kosovo is the aggressor against an UN member state, look at Israel protected against UN wishes a State that ignored more resolutions against them then even the US, they were the ones who said about the Un resolution, its not worth the paper it is written on. Look at the genocide help for Georgia against his neighbours, look at Japan and South Korea both relaying 100% on the US to intimidate their neighbours, look at Russia their policy of better the devil you know regarding NATO, while being sure that the US if they had half the change would not hesitate to attack Russia, special their oil area's. NATO would be eager to attack under US umbrella.
He went on to say: "Finally, NATO must be committed. Committed to the enduring values of freedom, democracy and the rule of law. Committed to the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter. And committed to solidarity and consensus through consultation and debate. This must be an Alliance where North America and Europe are bound together in mutual security. An Alliance whose values we embrace. An Alliance that is the cornerstone not only of transatlantic security, but of global security".
OV thinks that the NATO is already committed, they ignore the UN charters and rulings as we once again see in Libya, where they "protecting" civilians by killing them on a large scale and still at present are doing so, this morning the NATO planes were flying so low over the residential area's of Sirte that the pilots were clearly visible, the UN resolution does not allow this, so much for being "Committed to the purposes and principles of the United Nations" at least he said it with a straight face as on it self it was simple a joke as NATO tramples on the UN.
He went on with: "Capabilities, Connectivity, and Commitment. Three features that are essential to keeping the Alliance indispensable. And three features that we must enhance when we meet for our Summit in Chicago next May. Let me share with you my key goals for that Summit.
In Chicago, we should agree a strategic plan with Afghanistan for our partnership that will last through 2014 and beyond. We should endorse a package of capability improvements that all Allies need. We should declare an interim operational capability for a NATO territorial missile defence system and I hope we can also take forward cooperation with Russia on missile defence.
We should reaffirm the Alliances commitment to the Euro-Atlantic integration of our partners on this continent. And we should also send a strong signal to countries in the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and the Gulf that we continue to share an interest in the regions stability and security.
And I hope that by Chicago, a new and democratic Libya will be among our partners".
OV is that in May next year the decision will be taken by the US (in reality that is already taken as the airbases are vastly made larger) to stay longer in Afghanistan then 2014, they will probably create once more an so-called terrorist situation that will be used to stay in Afghanistan permanently an occasion such as the 2012 Olympic games would do as the UK is already sounding out that there are more then 200 principle suicide bombers in the UK ready for the 2012 Games. Just as they stayed in Iraq and will stay in Libya, and that those countries are led by the US trained and controlled "leaders" just as in Iraq, Afghanistan, now in Libya and also in Georgia and Kosovo. They have in OV sent out indeed a strong signal throughout the Middle East, "Obey or suffer the consequences such as seen in Libya" That Libya will be democratic will be a joke that will be carried for many years to come, it will be just as in Iraq, Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain and Yemen an US controlled dictator.
He finished with; "These goals are ambitious but realistic. I hope that you share them. And that you will support them. Ladies and gentlemen, if we are to preserve our security, our Allies must be more capable, our Partners must be better connected, and the Alliance must remain committed to its values, its principles and its goals. We must ensure that NATO remains the indispensable Alliance for the years to come. And together, I know we will succeed".
OV is that there is the possibility that those goals are possible, the NATO and the represented are politicians and we all know that politicians for 80% are in it for the money, the power and the publicity, the other 20% actual care for their country. On that base and the knowledge of the way the US transfers that power to friends, and reward them afterwards, See Tony Blair Member of parliament in the UK and the previous PM, as an example, than it will be possible that the NATO will be remain in power in certain parts of the world although in less then a third, until the upcoming powers will say, "Enough is enough"!
