The Email,

An by accident received email correspondence short but fruit full from a rather enthusiastic person. A clear opponent of the Evolution science called up more questions then can be answered in a short space. One of those souls with a determination to proof anyone wrong who does not take the Bible on word value.
The correspondence was static full with the almost daily view of the same rhetoric. I was an opinion which was not willing to move either site of the argument, static.

The view expressed was correct or not rather simple; the Bible was word correct, Darwin was maybe not a fool but certainly did not know what he was talking about. In his opinion did was not a surprise as Darwin had no formal education in that field and any one who objected to this view was a lost soul.

His point was that the Bible was always right and if it was not then this was because a wrongful made translation which should be corrected so that the Bible was right again.

As I am such an unbeliever in dogmatic rambling as it is always a danger when no flexibility is shown. A fact what to many times sticks his head up in science and sadly many superior intellectual minds and revered scientist have been known for being dogmatic.

The main point was the bible is always right and if the bible is not right action should be taken to make sure the bible is always right, this is indeed a dogma.

The question arises why? The answer will be because it is the bible. This following means that we have to believe that all is true so long it is in the bible. But even in the church they acknowledge that the bible can be seen from different perspectives see the Vulgata Clementina and the Douoy-Reims. Do we really have to believe every word that is written, can it not be that over a period of 10.000 years as from Adam till Shem if the bible had to be taken as correct there where more then 10.000 years in which Adam and Methuselah together already counted for near 2000 years.

If the years are counted correctly then we come over 15.000 years after Shem's dead plus 5000 years between the supposed stranding on mount Arafat and Jesus born it will be 20.000 years. It will put the shivers under the Young Earth theory followers as they by the latest count dated Earth at 10,000 years.

Please note that the dates are the dates as written in the bible and that we have to take them as correct as advised by the e mailer.
The e mailer a Bachelor in Theology who cleanly makes a point that the earth and all on it was done in 6 exact days as on day seven God rested. Do we really believe this a week while in those days a week was not known, all days were the same and a period was counted by the sign of the moon if the moon was visible.

Do we have to take the Word exact as they are written, do we really
